Getting into the summer sometimes means having to host guests at our homes. Last week I showed you some interesting sofa bed. This week I’ll show you some other smart furniture and accessories that can complement the indispensable sofa bed. By moving around and introducing these elements, you can transform your available space into a comfortable guest room.

Here are the elements you need:

A POUF, or foot rest or coffee table that can be used as bedside table or mattrass.

Trix by Kartell. a pouf that can be transformed into a matrass.

A FEW ACCESSORIES: a lamp to become a beside lamps, a clock, the “necessaire” for the bathroom (clean towels, a set of soap, shampoo, creams, toothpaste especially now that you cannot bring a lot of liquids on the plane). This will make your guest feel treated with care.

SMART STORAGE: foldable or movable furniture, wardrobes/chest of drawers, clever hanging systems. Temporary storage is critical to avoid your room to become a mess and your guests feel like they’re camping.

APPROPRIATE CURTAINS: to allow privacy and a good night sleep or clever curtains to create a room within a room (you can hang roller blind to the ceiling and pull them down when necessary, like in the picture below from Apartment Therapy ).
