A loft conversion: from improvised storage space to the “parents’ private floor”

My clients had renovated part of the house but had left the loft untouched. The potentially beautiful space had ugly finishes and was used to store and accumulate stuff. Part of it was also used as a not-very-inspiring home office. After analyzing a few alternatives, we decided for the loft conversion into the parents’ private floor. Two small rooms were transformed into one master bedroom, the central space was redesigned into a small shower room and a proper storage room, the layout of the landing was changed to make room for my clients’ new wardrobe, the ex-office was transformed into a reading/relaxing room and the attic into a proper home office with space for a big desk and lots of well organized paper storage. More pictures are coming up!
